Shift Hours- 2:30PM-11PM / * 2-year contract required
BRCTV-13 is the local Pennsylvania origination channel on the Blue Ridge system serving Carbon, Monroe, Wayne and Pike counties as well as parts of Lehigh, Schuylkill, Northampton and Berks counties.
The station is currently in need of an experienced individual to collect and analyze facts about daily newsworthy events through the process of interviewing, investigating, and/or observing then reporting accurate information to the public via our local communication network.
Must have the ability to follow leads, find enterprising news stories, properly edit, write scripts, meet deadlines and work well with the BRCTV team.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Journalism / Broadcast Communications or related fields
Minimum 1-year field experience
Demo Reel
Final Cut Pro Editing
Windows and MAC computer proficiency
Active Listening Skills
Time Management Skills
Ability to follow leads and gather information from all relevant sources
Ability to interact and speak with the public
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to accurately document and report information
Ability to establish and maintain positive work relationships
Ability to perform required tasks while adhering to company policies and procedures
